The Lancaster

The Lancaster is the first high-rise being built in the Lakeshore East development. The Lancaster is designed with light colored concrete and a glass treated façade on one quadrant of the building with partially recessed balconies available to all the units. An ornamental cornice above the roofline also accentuates the glass façade. The Lancaster’s design was a collaboration between Skidmore Owings & Merrill and Loewenberg + Associates. The Lancaster is 30 stories and boasts a coat of shimmering, curved glass. The building’s main entrance walks right out to the Lakeshore East park and botanical garden which is beloved by area residents and their dogs alike. While the main entrance is on the west side, the building also abuts Harbor Dr. on this east side which is four stories above the entrance. An outdoor elevator which is frequently out of order allows residents to easily access Harbor Dr. Parking is available on both Westshore Dr. on the north end of the building and underneath Harbor Dr. (Lower Harbor Dr.) on the south end of the building.
